Garden Gym
Enya kept a watchful eye on him the whole time we were playing.
Here she is giving him some love.
This was taken yesterday at the beginning of his mealtime. By the end, he had made a huge mess. The sweet potatoes stained his high chair!

New Skills, Domo, and Sweet Potatoes
Sawyer cannot be contained! He has learned how to scoot his entire pack n’ play across the room while in it by rocking back and forth! Today, he scooted himself over about 3 feet over to Enya’s bed.
In the past week Sawyer has developed so many new skills. He can sit fully upright now all by himself. He’s also crawling and climbing everywhere. In the morning, I wake up to him climbing on top of me. Although he starts out the night sleeping in his own crib, he usually ends up back in our bed after he wakes for his night feeding. It’s just easier for me to take him to bed with us and breastfeed him there so I can fall right back to sleep without having to get up again.
In our bedroom we have a full length mirror that looks directly into the bathroom. If I am in the bathroom and not in Sawyer’s direct sight, he will use this mirror to see where I’ve gone and what I’m doing. It’s hilarious to see him follow me with his eyes. He’s making sure I don’t go too far away.
Sawyer tried sweet potatoes for the 1st time yesterday and loved it. He couldn’t get enough and ate the entire jar. That’s another 1st!
Cliff bought Sawyer a Domo. He loves it! It’s his new favorite toy. He holds Domo by his arm and swings him around. Cliff also got him a Samurai Domo, which should arrive in the mail sometime this week.
Here he is givin' a high five.

Books
Afterward, we headed over to the adult fiction section to browse. A woman walks up with her son, who is about 11 years old, points to us, and reminisces sweetly to him, "I use to carry you like that!", after seeing Sawyer being carried in the Ergo.
Today, I ordered some nostalgic Golden books for Sawyer on Amazon: Peter Pan, Bambi, The Three Little Bears, and Three Little Pigs. The Disney books feature gorgeous, colorful vintage illustrations from the 40's and 50's. I can't wait to read these to him during our story time together.
I have a sore throat today so I'm trying hard not to hold my little Sweet Potato too much. I don't want him to get sick. However, since he is so use to being held all the time, he isn't handling it too well. I'm sitting Indian style right now with him in between my legs while I type on the laptop.

Sawyer is crawling!
Sawyer sits upright in a tripod position now too.
Here he is taking a bath with his rubber ducky. I tore up his room looking for this rubber ducky right before his bath only to discover he wasn't interested in it at all. He was more interested in splashing water around with his legs. He held the rubber ducky for all of 2 seconds, just long enough for me to take this picture.

Bundle of Fun
Teeth may be coming soon! I was able to feel 2 hard bumps right under his gums where his 2 front teeth should be. He's been chewing on his index finger a lot! So far, he hasn't shown any signs of discomfort. He's not at all cranky or fussy, which is a huge blessing!
Sawyer is so long. I measured him today and he's a little over 28 inches from head to heel! It's crazy how fast he's growing. When I carry him around the house, I have to remember to make room for his legs so that they don't crash into things. I keep thinking he's an itty bitty thing.
Today I couldn't stop kissing Sawyer's chubby cheeks. I just love me some cute chubby baby cheeks! I'm like the cartoon character Elmira when it comes to my little Baby Boy.
